About GEHWS
Government Employees Housing Welfare Society (GEHWS) is a project initiated as a Housing Welfare Measure for Central as well as State Government Employees and Defence Personals. GEHWS has been established to promote, control and co-ordinate different schemes relating to health, finance & housing for working and retired government employees as a welfare measure.
After serving government employees for more than 20 years the Governing Council of GEWO (Government Employee Welfare Organization Reg No: GH3978/01062018) resolved to introduce GEHWS to serve employees of central & state government, PSUs, employees of Railways and Banks along with Defence personals (Navy, Air Force and Army).
GEHWS intends to organize residential Units (Flats & Plots) at most reasonable prices for the employees of central & state government, PSUs, ministries, employees of Railways and Banks along with Defense personals, CPOs, administrative, forest & police services etc.
Our Goal
The goal of the organization is to provide welfare service to all Government Employees relating to Health, Finance and Housing. With support of highly efficient and experienced advisors, GEHWS also supports the Government policy to provide residences to all till 2031.
GEHWS Mandate
- Undertake social welfare schemes relating to Health, Finance and Housing for Government Employees, serving and retired
- Promote construction of houses and provide all possible help to achieve these objects
- Do all such things conducive to the attainment of any or all of the above objects
- Extend welfare schemes to public at large (not to exceed 25% per scheme/project)
Constitutional Set-Up
- General Body (Trustees) — Constitutional authority, lays down general policy guidelines
- Executive Committee (Professional) — Manages operations and implements policies
- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) — Day-to-day management and execution
